Accessibility
What we have built in, what we are still improving, and how to tell us when something does not work.
Our aim
This website targets the WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines. Accessibility was part of the build rather than an audit afterwards, and it is treated as ongoing work rather than a finished box.
What is implemented
- Semantic HTML structure with a single main landmark, ordered headings and labelled navigation.
- A skip link to main content, and visible focus outlines on every interactive element.
- Full keyboard operation, including the menu, accordions, the FAQ and the multi-step form. The mobile menu traps focus while open and returns it on close.
- Text and interface colours checked for AA contrast against their backgrounds.
- Form fields with real labels, required-field indication, inline error messages and focus moved to the first invalid field.
- Every decorative graphic marked
aria-hidden; every meaningful graphic given a text alternative. - Full support for
prefers-reduced-motion: animation, marquees, the custom cursor and all 3D motion stop, and the 3D scenes render a single still frame instead. - The site works without WebGL, and remains readable and navigable if JavaScript fails to load.
- Touch targets sized for comfortable use, and no content that requires hover to reach.
Known limitations
- The 3D scenes are decorative. They carry text alternatives describing their content, but their motion cannot be navigated directly.
- Video content added in future will need captions and transcripts; that is a publishing requirement we hold ourselves to as media is added.
